Fourth Division's Barracks

As you enter the premise of the fourth division, you recall that everything looks familiar. In fact, last time you came down here, it was for a broken toe. You had to go to the Coordinated Relief Station, where members of the Fourth Division relieved you from the pain.

Now, you came here just to get some fresh air, and to do some sight-seeing. The barracks of Fourth Division are as normal as barracks can be, with standard white walls, and copper slate roofs. A bit further lies the tall, impending station, where you can hear all sorts of work going on. Even here, at the barracks, people seem busy with either studying, getting medical supplies, or leaving and returning from jobs.

Walking between the buildings, amid the hustle and bustle, your mind wanders slightly. You know that the fourth division is known to be picked on by the Eleventh Division, though when the previous captain was around, she made sure to silence the bullies of Eleventh Division. Now, from what you can see, the bullying seems to be part of the daily activities here on the grounds of Fourth Division, even though the hospital stands testimony to the fact that some members retaliate from time to time.

While walking back from the Hospital, Larentia noticed how dark it had became. She probably spent a few hours trying to get the reiatsu out of the Eleventh division member. After a long walk, not really in much of a straight line, she finally made it to the barracks.

Larentia greeted some of the other people, while she made her way to her own room. It was tiny, and only consisted of a futon and a small closet. She sat down on her mattress and took off her her slippers.

Then she just let herself fall of the mattress. A large yawn escaped her, while pulling the blanket up. Just a quick nap... She thought, and hoped she would wake up in time for dinner.

With a growl, her stomach objected. "But I don't want to get up..." She mumbled to herself. But on the other hand, she was really hungry. Larentia grunted while she slowly got up.

Rubbing her eyes with one hand, and helping herself up with the other, she freed herself from the blankets. After a few minutes just staring at the wall, a sudden realization hit her. It was already light.

No wonder I'm so hungry... She yawned again, and changed her old uniform she slept in for a new, fresh one. Luckily it's still early. If she had overslept and missed dinner, she would have to slap herself. After rubbing her eyes a bit more, she headed out for another day.

Before going to her room, Larentia went to eat something with her fellow shinigami. It was quite busy, with people running from the hospital to the barracks and back. Her lunch was quite simple, a small bowl of noodles.

She smiled at the jokes of her co-workers and chatted a bit. But mostly she just stayed quiet and ate her food. After saying her goodbyes, she made way to her tiny room, for a quick nap. The hallways there where mostly empty and she started to feel a little guilty. Most others where working hard, while she was going to take a nap.

It's for the greater good... This way, you might kill someone. Larentia told herself, but it didn't really help. She slid the door open and sat down on her mattress to free herself of her shoes. Once that was done, she laid down and closed her eyes.
